Time-Minder Clock (Multiple Daily Alarms)

It seems as though since we’ve moved here we’ve received a lot of more of those sales calls from various call centers – folks wanting to sell us extended car warranties (that one is actually a scam), credit cards, you name it.  Oh, and then there are the fundraising calls from the police department and other groups.  But I got one this morning from the bank that our mortgage is with, wanting to send us an accidental death insurance policy to look over for sixty days.  The kicker?  They’re going to send us a $20 prepaid Visa to do so.  Sure, you can pay me $20 to call and cancel! lol  That works for me.  But it’s not the primary thing I want to share today.

That would be my Your-Minder clock.  This is a fairly new item on the market, and I was so excited to see it, as I’ve been wanting something like it for a long time.  If you have ADD tendencies like me, then the passage of time is something that can escape you entirely.  For us, there seems to be no set rate at which time passages. ;)   (And maybe even some of you who don’t have ADD tendencies sometimes can let time slip away from you.)  So what I wanted was a clock – not my computer, not a cell phone, etc., but just a clock – with multiple alarms that I could set for various “landmarks” of my day.  Then this item came on the market, and it’s great!  Originally designed as a reminder for those who take medications throughout the day, this particular model is unique in that it lets you record a short message for each alarm.  So instead of just going off for the times I set it, I can program it to say, “Time to start school,” “What’s for dinner?” etc.  It’s very easy to use (although be warned that it talks back to you – very loudly – when you’re setting it; I about jumped out of my skin!).  I love it, and this is certainly a tool that works for me!

What a great clock. I might just get one for my son. :)

I hit the comment button before I was done…lol.

I think my son would love that. He doesn’t have ADD tendencies, but he was just telling me the other day that he wanted something to help him keep track of his chores and when to do them (he’s 8). That clock looks perfect for that.

What a neat clock. I get involved in projects sometimes and have NO IDEA how much time has passed, so this is pretty ideal!
