Makeup for Women Who Don’t Care About Makeup

by @ 5:59 pm on November 6, 2007.

One of Ariel’s favorite movies is Funny Face.  There’s a line in there about “clothes for the woman who doesn’t care about clothes.”  My makeup reminds me of this!  Just to give you an idea, when I called from the women’s show to ask my husband if I could spend the money to buy this stuff his response was, “But you don’t wear makeup.”  He was right, of course!  But I wear this!  Why?  It’s natural (ingredients-wise), it looks natural, and it’s easy.  There is literally only one pressed powder.  (There is a concealer, as well, but that is, of course, optional.)  It goes all over as a powder, on the cheeks as blusher, and on the eyelids as eyeshadow.  It can even be used on the lips - just cover it with a clear gloss to moisten and “seal” it.  (Since I need something separate for that, anyway, I just use a Burt’s Bees lip gloss.)  I don’t need any fancy makeup mirrors to help me see what I’m doing, or six different brushes. (I use one brush and a fingertip.)  I can get it on right.  (hehe  I am soooo bad at makeup application.)  It’s super-quick - I think it takes like 45 seconds to completely do my makeup.  And it would be terrific for travel, although we haven’t happened to go anywhere since I bought it…six months or so ago.
