#38 - Apron Plan

by @ 2:02 pm on January 6, 2008.

I finished my first 101/1001 item!  I finished my apron plan.  Here is what I expect to be doing:

Monday (Laundry Day) - McCall’s 3979, view E
I will add a large pocket for clothespins, a small one for loose buttons, etc., and a  loop for my timer to hook onto.

Tuesday (Errand Day) - no apron

Wednesday (Kitchen Day) - Adorn apron pattern printed from internet
I will add a button to attach a hand towel,  perhaps a potholder hook (I constantly misplace these my potholders.), a
pocket for recipes, etc., and a loop for my timer to hook onto.

Thursday (Office Day) - Butterick 6567, view E or 4087, view C (half aprons)
This will just have a few pockets.

Friday (Cleaning Day) - I already have a cleaning apron (half-apron) that contains my cleaning supplies, but I plan to make
a full apron to cover all of my clothes for most of the day that I can strap that over top of when I’m ready for the deep
cleaning.  I will use the Dorcas apron pattern from Past Patterns.  I may also make a matching kerchief or two to keep stuff
from falling on my head when I’m cleaning up high.

Saturday (Garden/Yard Work Day) - McCall’s 4322
And perhaps the bucket apron, as well, for my gardening supplies.

All of these patterns are subject to change if I find one that I really like and that fits the bill between the plan and the execution, but this will allow me to get started when I decide I’m ready.  (These are all patterns that I have.)
