His and Hers

For a contest, I’m supposed to create an advertisement about why buy.com rocks. This photograph of our TV Guides really is related. lol

We are currently receiving “his” and “hers” copies of TV Guide. Weird, I know. It wasn’t intentional. :)

I participate in something called BzzAgent, where I get to try out certain products in exchange for “creating buzz” about them. (I don’t necessarily have to say anything positive about them - just honestly and naturally interact with people about the products I’ve used. In most cases, I have liked certain factors and disliked others.) One of the recent Bzz Campaigns was TV Guide, and I was given a short free subscription to the magazine as part of my BzzKit.

A while later, about the time we thought that subscription was about to run out, hubby ordered me an mp3 player for Christmas, from buy.com. They had a special deal; we could get a free subscription to any one of several magazines with our purchase. We checked out the small print carefully, and there were no “catches.” We even checked to verify that they weren’t going to auto-renew. The write-up specifically said that they would not.

So, we got another free subscription to TV Guide, and it overlapped with the first one. We now receive one in Michael’s name and one in mine, and joke about our “his and hers” TV Guides. These cool deals are one reason why buy.com rocks.

I don’t know what’s going on with the video. I am going to try to find a friend with high-speed internet access and re-upload it tonight, to see what happens.

Well, third time’s the charm. After re-uploading it, it still didn’t work. I had to save it again, smaller, and upload it a third time. Hopefully it isn’t too small!
