Featherdusting - oops!

by @ 7:39 pm on May 5, 2008.

I have been attempting to get comfortable with the cleaning methods in Speed Cleaning. They’re much more efficient than “standard homemaker” cleaning methods - except in the beginning when they’re just awkward. I think I need a little more practice with the feather duster, though. Last time I cleaned the bathroom, I knocked a votive holder out of a wall sconce and shattered it. (I wonder if the votive holder is replaceable.) Hopefully the learning curve isn’t too steep and it won’t be very long before it feels natural to clean this way!

The best feather duster is an ostrich feather duster.  It has properties that inherently trap the dust instead of just moving it around.   My ostrich duster came from Wal-Mart and cost about $5 - much cheaper than the “nice” cleaning places (and it works just fine - when I don’t shove glass things off the wall with it. lol)
