Furniture

by @ 10:22 am on August 10, 2008.

I got to thinking about furniture yesterday, because we visited some friends, and they had some new furniture that was given to them by a neighbor.  It was that crate-style furniture like what This End Up used to sell.  If I ever actually chose and purchased furniture, this is what I would get, I think.  It’s virtually indestructible, which is great with kids!  It would be super-easy to recover, because there is no “upholstery,” just cushions.  And I think that the bare, rustic wood would fit my style pretty well.

IKEA is a good place to get stuff like this.  They sell a variety of furniture, for pretty good prices.  I find that the majority of their styles are pretty modern furniture, but that isn’t all that they have.  In fact, I think they actually do have some of the crate-style furniture I was talking about.

On the other hand, I bet we could build some crate-style furniture, since it’s pretty basic.  Hmmm…

The crate furniture does sound easy to build but if your house is like mine, then, yes, we could build it, and no, we won’t get around to building it. LOL.

LOL Yes, that is likely around here, too. :)
